Primary Energy Recycling is pleased to announce we have recently been awarded with the highest honor at the Zero Injury Safety Awards Gala. This recognition demonstrates our ongoing commitment to worker safety, which has always been a core value of our business.
OAK BROOK, IL, Nov. 18, 2016 – Affirming its strident commitment to worker safety, Primary Energy Recycling Corp. (“Primary Energy”) has been honored by The National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee (NMAPC) with the Zero Injury Safety Award® (ZISA), the construction and maintenance industry’s premier safety recognition program. Primary Energy builds, owns and operates clean and efficient energy recycling projects on or near the industrial customer's site.
Primary Energy utilized industrial contractors Enerfab Inc. and Hayes Mechanical to complete a multi-year retubing project for the company’s heat recovery boilers located at its Cokenergy facility in East Chicago, IN. The work was completed in 2014 and resulted in a total of 147,057 hours of injury free work.
“Safety is a core value that drives best practices at Primary Energy,” said Mo Klefeker, President and CEO, Primary Energy. “The ZISA award reflects the commitment of our employees to advancing our culture of safety. It also demonstrates the commitment we have to partnering with companies who share our same values.”
The ZISA award is the union construction and maintenance industry’ premier safety recognition program and recognizes an alliance between owner-clients, signatory contractors and local and international unions who worked together to achieve zero injuries on their industrial construction and maintenance projects.
